What we collect, what we do not, and what you can ask us to do about it.
SIA Mock Test UK operates siamocktest.uk. SIA Mock Test UK is an independent study resource. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by the Security Industry Authority, GOV.UK or any awarding organisation. Practice questions are original and are not live exam questions. This service does not replace mandatory licence-linked training, practical assessment or first-aid requirements. Always confirm current requirements with GOV.UK, your approved training provider and your awarding organisation.

If you use the site without an account we store the questions you were shown, the answers you gave and your score, together with a random token identifying that sitting. The token is held in your browser and is not linked to you.
We also store a random identifier for your browser, so we can count the one free mock exam a day without needing an account and without recording your IP address for that purpose.
If you create an account we store your email address, a hashed password, whether you asked for occasional emails, and the date, time and IP address of your most recent sign-in. We never store a password in a form we could read. If you sign in with Google we store the identifier Google gives us for your account instead of a password.
Your past attempts are linked to your account so you can see your history. If you report a problem with a question we store which question, the reason you chose and anything you typed.
We do not collect more than we need to run the service. We do not sell data to anyone, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
There are no adverts on this site and no advertising trackers.
Card details never reach our servers. There is nothing to buy here yet; when there is, Stripe will take the card details directly and we will never see them.
We use Google Analytics to understand which study pages get used and where people give up. It does not load at all unless you turn it on, and it is off until you do. You can change your mind at any time using the cookie preferences link in the footer of any page.
We never send your email address, your name, your answers, your score or any question text to Google. What we send is which page was viewed and which of a small set of actions happened, such as a mock test being started.
Google Analytics is provided by Google, which may process the data outside the UK. If you would rather it did not run, decline it and nothing will be loaded.
When something goes wrong we record the error so we can fix it. Those reports carry the page and the fault, and are deliberately stripped of request headers, cookies and anything in a web address that could be a password reset link. They do not carry your email address or your account identifier.
This is a legitimate interest in keeping the service working rather than something we ask consent for, and it is not used to track you.
Your account and its history are kept while your account exists. You can delete your account yourself at any time from your account page.
Deleting your account removes your email address, your password and the account itself. Your past test results stay in our records with nothing linking them to you, in the same form as a test sat without an account, so we can keep seeing which questions are answered wrongly. We cannot connect them back to you afterwards, and neither can we.
A sitting started without an account expires after six hours and its token stops working.
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it and your account with it. Write to support@siamocktest.uk and we will act within one month.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you think we have handled your data badly.
